Our comprehensive soccer programs will elevate any beginner or inspiring athlete to reach the next level. All soccer players will find a specific program that is right for them. If you are looking to gain that extra yard in our SAQ program or you just want to have fun in our summer camp, our qualified staff can guarantee that this will happen. Passion, enthusiasm and professionalism are qualities that we take seriously for all staff members at Excel Performance soccer programs.

All our soccer instructors have University/National Team/Professional backgrounds in soccer and vast coaching experience. Team sessions cannot just benefit the players but can also help the coaches as they prepare for their next match. Our instructors can come to your own teams training session or we can arrange another training session that fits your team’s schedule.


Summer Soccer Soccer Camps 2012 - New!

Description:

The boys and girls will divided into specific skill enhancement activities with our highly trained staff. Various themed skills will be utilized on each day of the soccer camp. Each player will gain skills, confidence and motivation by the end of the soccer camp. High focus will be put on attacking, shooting and small sided matches.

Elite Speed, Agility, Quickness Developmental Camps - New!

The Elite SAQ camp will comprise of a small group of dedicated players looking to get to the next level of training. Various sport specific movements will be carefully detailed by EP trainers to fully examine the body mechanics and movements. Soccer balls will be used in the program to fully mimic game like situations.

Course Outline

EP trainers will have the luxury of tailoring the individuals tendencies to maximize their performance due to the staff and player ratio. This program is ideal for any athlete from ages 8-18 looking to full educate and maximize their core, speed, agility, balance and mechanics.

Equipment used: (depending on age) agility ladders, webs, hurdles, parachutes, bosu balls, exercise balls, balance boards, resistance bands, medicine balls and more!

SAQ (Specific Components)
Speed training will concentrate on proper mechanics and the quickness of movements over various lengths depending on the athlete’s sport. Finding the absolute speed will emphasize the efficiency in the athlete’s muscle fibers, which will undoubtedly make the athlete faster. Educate the athlete in proper mechanics needed to achieve their maximum performance. The program is designed to train the nervous system to consistently manipulate sport specific movements. This will allow the athlete to learn optimal movement patterns.

Nutrition
Our Excel Performance nutritionist has arranged a handout for all parents and players on eating properly for athletes. Information in the handout will include: What to eat prior to games, What ratio of carbohydrates/proteins do youth need, how to cook creatively with picky eaters, what are some healthy snacks, etc.

S.A.Q. Program (Speed, Agility, Quickness)

SAQ/Sports Conditioning Supplier

Speed, Agility, Quickness Program is a comprehensive resource to achieve maximum performance for any athlete. Sport specific focus, and continued testing will be effective tools to instill in the athlete to achieve optimal results.

Do you want your athletes faster, quicker and more agile? Our instructors will break down the mechanics of running to give your athlete a better understanding of how to move their body. This program is high-effective and underutilized in sports. Our SAQ program is tailored for your specific sport. By utilizing our plyometric portion of the program your athletes are preventing injuries without any form of resistance training. Our instructors will offer real world examples of why each exercises are relevant to their sport (i.e. vertical squat jumps for goalies). The staff will take into account the training level of the athletes and acclimatize the program to all ages, boys and girls.

Objectives:

1. Mechanics and Proper Technique

Educate the athlete in proper mechanics needed to achieve their maximum performance. The program is designed to train the nervous system to consistently manipulate sport specific movements. This will allow the athlete to learn optimal movement patterns.

2. Maximum Quality over Quantity

The emphasis of proper habits to reinforce positive change and prevent past faulty patterns. Rest periods will always be long, and work periods will be short to ensure that quality of work done by the athlete is done at 100%. Quality of work will target consistency as a mark for success.

3. Mental Benefits

Athlete will have an increased feeling of self-esteem, confidence, self-worth, and overall resilience.

4. Physical Benefits

S.A.Q. programs will increase cardiovascular and athletic performance, which in turn will improve muscle mass and fat-loss.

5. Sport Specific

The practice of common movements used in specific sporting settings. This will focus on definite skills that are essential for the athlete to perform at a high level in their specific sport.

Components of S.A.Q. Programs

All programs will consist of a dynamic warm-up, passive stretching, and a cool down. Pre-testing and post-testing will be administrated to monitor progression.

1. Strength and Power Program

This program will consist of a combination of strength and speed. Dynamic weight training, and various plyometric techniques will be used maximize the athlete’s performance. Explosive movements will mimic the athlete’s reflex actions leading to positive performance.

2. Speed Training

Speed training will concentrate on proper mechanics and the quickness of movements over various lengths depending on the athlete’s sport. Finding the absolute speed will emphasis the efficiency in the athlete’s muscle fibers, which will undoubtedly make the athlete faster.

3. Speed Endurance

This program will help the athlete maintain the highest % of speed to generate power that will achieve results. By improving VO2 max. the athlete will see results in total distance covered in competitive play.

Team Development Academy

Spring Break 2012 Soccer Camp

The Team Building & Development Program (T.B.D.) is designed to elevate the athletes standards in training. These sessions will focus on the core skills that are designated for the athletes specific sport. Our highly-qualified instructors will come to your teams training session and run a session tailored to your teams needs (i.e. shooting, conditioning, team-tactics). For the players and coaches it will give a distinctive change from the long season.

Sports Conditioning

Excel Performance’s sports conditioning program is Ideal for any athlete or team looking to get to the next fitness level. The program is a combination of our highly-effective speed training from our SAQ and the vital importance of speed endurance. The sports conditioning program will help the athlete maintain the highest % of speed to generate power that will achieve results. By improving VO2 max. the athlete will see results in total distance covered in competitive play. If you or your team is in the midst of pre-season, off-season, during season or coming off an injury this program will get you back to the level of fitness you will need to achieve optimal results.
